Paris Saint-Germain pulled off a comeback that seemed unlikely, beating Barcelona 4-1 with two goals from Mbappé in Catalonia, this Wednesday (16), and is qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023-24 Champions League.
The French team will face Borussia Dortmund, who eliminated Atlético de Madrid in the other semifinal of the day. PSG decides the match at home.
Already with the advantage of having won the first game in France, Barcelona opened the scoring at home with Raphinha, taking advantage of a good play by Yamal. But Ronald Araujo was sent off in the 29th minute of the first half and PSG knew how to take advantage.
Even in the first half, Dembelé left everything the same, enforcing the “Lei do Ex”. In the second half, Vitinha and Mbappé, twice, turned the comeback into a rout in Catalonia and took PSG back to the semifinals after three years.
The semi-finals will be held the week of April 30th (outbound) and May 7th (return).
