The CEO of Tesla and owner of the X platform, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk, announced this Monday, April 15, that new users of the platform will have to pay “small fees” to publish messages for three months.
According to the billionaire’s statements, the measure will be applied to combat the relentless attack by “bots” or automated accounts.
“Unfortunately, applying small fees for new users to write is the only way to combat the relentless attack of ‘bots,’ he wrote.
Elon Musk further explained that currently artificial intelligence and troll factories easily pass robot identification tests.
